LILLI HUTTULA
HOUSE
Lilli Huttula has been an active part of Finland’s street and club dance scene since 2011, working as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and cultural producer. She was awarded the Saiffa Awards’ Cultural Influencer of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.
As a dancer, Lilli specializes in hip hop and house. She has also gained experience in many other styles – for example, she performed in a locking piece at the Ladies of Hip Hop Festival in New York in 2012 and has been a member of two international Vogue/ballroom houses. More recently, she has immersed herself in litefeet and is actively working to establish the style in Finland.
Lilli has traveled the world to study street and club dances with the pioneers and top practitioners of each style, and to participate in their cultures in authentic environments. New York, in particular, has been a key teacher for her. Some of the most influential experiences in her dance journey have been Brooklyn and Bronx park jams and clubs such as Funkbox, Libation, and Output. For Lilli, dance is about connection – to oneself, to the music, to other people, to history, and to the present moment.
