Awa Sowe

Awa Sowe is a self-taught, passioned and cultural dancer. She is known for her Twercture company, which teaches twerk workshops all around Finland. Awa’s work concentrates on teaching the twerk technique and lecutres on twerk’s history and culture.

As a teacher Awa loves teaching the foundation of Twerk. She sees that it’s very important to learn how to listen the body and feel the movement instead of concentrating on how it looks. Everybody’s body is special, same as the movement one can create with the hips.
