IIDA KUJALA
HIP HOP, HEELS CHOREO
Iida Kujala is a dedicated and smooth-moving dancer from Espoo. Despite her young age, she has been training intensively in hip hop since 2017, developing her own unique movement style through the dance form. She has also competed successfully in numerous competitions, including the Finnish Street Dance Championships.
Iida graduated from the dance program at Sibelius Upper Secondary School, where she trained in ballet, contemporary dance, and jazz dance, as well as participated in a variety of productions – both her own and those of others. This experience has strengthened her control, fluidity, and versatility as a dancer. At Sibelius, she also completed the upper secondary diploma in artistic dance, which included both a written thesis and a performance component. Her thesis explored the history, challenges, development areas, and future of the Finnish hip hop scene.
In Iida’s classes, students dive into the roots of hip hop and practice movements characteristic of the style, such as bounce, rock, groove, and party steps. The main focus in her teaching is having fun and creating a safe, welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
